Solid Biomass Group

The Solid Biomass Group at IrBEA focuses on supporting and developing the use of solid biomass fuels such as wood chips, wood pellets, and firewood as renewable energy sources. The group works with industry stakeholders to promote quality standards, sustainable fuel supply chains, best practice guidance, and policy development to help expand Ireland’s solid biomass heating sector. It also provides a forum for members to collaborate, share technical knowledge, and address challenges facing the biomass industry.
